Yaniv was born in 1974, and raised in the city of Rishon Le' Zion where he completed his High School diploma with a certificate in Biology. 
 

In 1992, Yaniv joined the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) and served for 3 years in the Airborne Forces. 
 

Yaniv traveled for a year to both South and Central America. 
 

Upon his return he entered Hebrew University in Jerusalem and obtained a Bachelors degree in Islam, arabic and the Middle East. 
 

With an interest in the land for which he lives, Yaniv further continued his studies,
obtaining a certification from the Israeli Ministry of Tourism as an official Tour Guide leading groups throughout Israel.
 

Yaniv is fluent in Hebrew, English and Arabic and for the past ten years 
has been guiding non-Israeli groups from abroad throughout Israel.
